1. Nissan Qashqai 

The Nissan Qashqai is now in its third-generation – which started production in 2021. 2. Skoda Karoq 

The Skoda Karoq started production in 2017 and had a mild face lift in early 2022. The Seat Ateca uses the same platform as the Skoda Karoq and is a similar price. Prices start from £26,255 for a ‘SE Drive’ model with the 110PS petrol engine. The highest trim is the ‘Sportline’, which starts from £32,570 with the 150PS petrol engine.

3. Kia Sportage 

The Kia Sportage is now in its fifth-generation – which started production in 2021.  Prices from £26,775 for a Sportage ‘2’ 1.6 petrol engine. The highest trim is the ‘GT-Line S Plug-in Hybrid’, which starts from £43,795 and comes with 1.6 plug-in hybrid engine.

4. Volkswagen Tiguan 

The Volkswagen Tiguan is now in its second-generation – which started production in 2016 and had a face lift in 2020.  The Tiguan uses the same platform as both the Skoda Karoq and Seat Ateca and is a popular family SUV. Prices start from £29,550 for a ‘Life’ model with the 1.5TSI petrol engine. The highest trim is the high performance ‘R’ model, which starts from £48,540 and comes with a 2L 4motion DSG petrol engine.

5. Range Rover Evoque 

The Range Rover Evoque is now in its second-generation – which started production in 2019. Prices from £32,620 for the base trim with the D165 petrol engine. The highest trim is the ‘Autobiography’, which starts from £53,365 and comes with 2L mild hybrid petrol engine.

6. Land Rover Discovery Sport 

The Land Rover Discovery Sport is now in its second-generation – which started production in 2019. Prices from £33,125 for the base trim with the D165 petrol engine. The highest trim is the ‘Black’, which starts from £48,350 and comes with the 2L mild hybrid petrol engine.

7. Volkswagen ID4 

The Volkswagen ID4 is in its first-generation – which started production in 2020.  Prices from £37,290 for the ‘Life’ trim with the 148PS motor. The highest trim is the ‘GTX MAX’, which starts from £58,390 and comes with the 299PS dual motors.
